John provided sound designs and original music for a number of
student & faculty dance pieces while attending the Oberlin
Conservatory of Music. most recently he was commissioned
to provide original music for a stage production of Ray Bradbury's
"The Martian Chronicles" in Chicago.

- philosophy -
it is essential to create, in collaboration and communication,
the aural components of the stage and screen as they best serve
the greater whole. there is an exact amount of ego and confidence
that is needed to create a seamless experience where it is
appropriate, and to emphasize the jagged edges when this is
the desired result. selfishness and selflessness are needed
in equal measure for to bend without breaking is a good thing.
